Still got the same phone number Still drives like a maniac She still leaves the porch light on To guide your way back You told yourself you had to play it safe and you did But deep down don't you wish you had just let her in cuz Everybody wants to be somebody's somebody And sometimes somebody is hard to find Everybody wants to be somebody's somebody So won't you tell me why your wasting time Somebody's somebody Somebody's somebody Somebody's somebody Somebody's somebody If this were a movie This would be the final scene Where you chase her to the airport Then get down on one knee You told yourself you had to draw the line and you did But deep down don't you wish you had just let her in cuz Everybody wants to be somebody's somebody And sometimes somebody is hard to find Everybody wants to be somebody's somebody So won't you tell me why your wasting time Somebody's somebody Somebody's somebody Somebody's somebody Somebody's somebody (Ba da) Do you wanna look back and say (Ba da) I could have had it all but I was afraid? (Ba da)Do you wanna look back and know (Ba da)You could have had it all but you let her go oh Everybody wants to be somebody's somebody And sometimes somebody is hard to find Everybody wants to be somebody's somebody So won't you tell me why your wasting time Somebody's somebody Somebody's somebody (you are) Somebody's somebody Somebody's somebody (you are) (Ba da)Do you wanna look back and say (Ba da) I could have had it all but I was afraid?

She's inspired a thousands songs This love is as good as gone Golden hair porcelain skin Who did I think I was foolin? She's a diamond, cut from the earth Dazzling, she knows her worth I told you my darkest secrets Gave you my heart Thought you would keep it I Shoulda know better Thinking this would last forever Shoulda known, I'm not your girl Cuz you love diamonds And I'm a pearl She's right and I'm wrong So why do I keep hanging on? I told you my darkest secrets Gave you my heart Thought you would keep it I Shoulda know better Thinking this would last forever Shoulda known, I'm not your girl Cuz you love diamonds And I'm a pearl She will never love you like I do And she's making a fool out of you I told you my darkest secrets Gave you my heart Thought you would keep it I Shoulda know better Thinking this would last forever Shoulda known I'm not your girl Cuz you love diamonds And I'm a pearl I'm a pearl

Met a girl wearing a t-shirt said Raised on champagne Ring on her finger dreadlocks in her hair Kept her maiden name She said “I never feel like I belong” She was nothing if not deep We started laughing when the band came on And launched into Creep (she shouted) Dance like there's nobody watching Love like you'll never get hurt Sing like there's nobody listening And live like it's heaven on earth I looked at the shinning city from The 14th floor And I had a funny feeling like I've been here before Maybe a past life maybe in a dream That may sound crazy may sound strange But the only certainty's uncertainty And this too will change ( so why not) Dance like there's nobody watching Love like you'll never get hurt Sing like there's nobody listening Live like it's heaven on earth Some things look better Hanging on the rack Tired of lying to ourselves We learn to put 'em back Oh Oh Oh (we learn to) Dance like there's nobody watching And love like we'll never get hurt Sing like there's nobody listening And live like it's heaven on earth Dance like there's nobody watching Love like you'll never get hurt Sing like there's nobody listening And live like it's heaven on earth Live like it's heaven on earth

I'm sitting here starin' At you lost in the sky You're leaving tomorrow So I guess this is goodbye There's no point pretending I know it's not wise To keep everything I'm feeling inside You ruined lovin' anyone else for me Lit up my night sky and set me free You ruined lovin' anyone else for me Now I know that you can't stay It's out of my hands I wasn't in the picture When you made your plans Please don't let these tears sway you I don't mean to cry It's just I've never been Good at goodbye You ruined lovin' anyone else for me Lit up my night sky and set me free You ruined lovin' anyone else for me The kisses you've given are the best ones that I've had Am I just a fool holding on to something that is never coming back You ruined lovin' anyone else for me Lit up my night sky and set me free You ruined lovin' anyone else for me Showed me what tenderness really means You ruined lovin' anyone else for me

They had their stories They told about you They'd tell them to me Swear that they were true Painted your picture With one dirty paintbrush No one seemed to notice You had grown up That you have a softness A deep understanding Those ten A.M. phone calls And all their demanding Everyone worried about Where you'd be landing Maybe it was in the stars But you jumped into my car and we Flew out of town You in the passenger seat Just enough cash To last us the week Feet on the dash Empty coffee cups A couple of wild ones In love In love We met at a party Your friends dragged you out The music was so loud We all had to shout And you looked defeated Dazzled and tired Told me that your heart got broke And I just had to hold you close as we Flew out of town You in the passenger seat Just enough cash To last us the week Feet on the dash Empty coffee cups A couple of wild ones In love In love Starry eyed Young and free Shotgun lover It's you and me We scissored out of That parking lot Spitting gravel behind us No second thoughts Every song on the radio Singing right to us Maybe it was in the stars But you jumped into my car and we Flew out of town You in the passenger seat Just enough cash To last us the week Feet on the dash Empty coffee cups A couple of wild ones in love When you burn all the bridges And what's done is done You gotta move fast And that's half the fun Feet on the dash Empty coffee cups A couple of wild ones In love In love We flew out of town you in the passenger seat (We flew out of town you in the passenger seat) We flew out of town you in the passenger seat
